This song, I Don't Think So, as well as the poem below, are dedicated to Max the Dog. May he rest in peace.

Max went over the rainbow bridge
Adorned in the pink doll tutu
the girls pulled over his waist
Twirling on his hind legs
While they clapped their hands in glee

Max went over the rainbow bridge
Wearing a green cap and kerchief
Hannah gave him post grooming
Looking haughty
Like an elven prince

Max went over the rainbow bridge
While random elderly Japanese men
Bowed to him in respect
As they whispered to me
"He is royalty dog."

Max went over the rainbow bridge
With little yellow rubber boots
On his hind legs
For traction on the hardwood floors
When his legs began to give out

Max went over the rainbow bridge
With a half a bagel in his mouth
Brought to him every week
By his Uncle Don
As a peace offering
Max finally accepted
After barking ferociously
For nearly two decades

Max went over the rainbow bridge
As a choir of angel dogs sang
"I Don't Think So"
And took a little piece of my heart with him
